Marvin Camras Elementary School project was used as a pilot BIM program to be used in future Chicago Public Schools projects.
Scope of work included replacing the existing steam and hydronic heating system throughout the main building and the two additions to the building with a new heating and cooling system. Provided two condensing boilers and a new central air cooled chiller with dual temperature pumps and piping throughout the school. Provided a new domestic cold water booster pump and replaced all the existing horizontal domestic hot water and hot water return pipe mains throughout the school. Provided a new 1200 amp electrical service to support the new cooling system being added to the school. Architectural and structural scope of work was done in support of the mechanical and electrical work in addition to the replacement of the roof in the main building and the first addition.
